Meet the Staff

Allie is the owner of the Nursery and manages the day to day running with the support the staff.

Having completed a languages degree at Bradford University, Allie continued her training at University of East Anglia to complete a P.G.C.E to become a qualified teacher.

Since then, she has had experience of teaching across the Foundation Stage and Primary sector.

In recent years Allie worked in a Kindergarten in Hong Kong when she moved there with her family.

Allie took over the nursery in January 2012 but was already familiar with the setting and staff as her elder 2 children attended the setting before transitioning to primary school. Since then her younger children (twins) also joined the nursery before heading off to school.

In January 2020 Allie signed up to participate in EYPDP (Early Years Professional Development Programme) a national government initiative to support language, literacy and mathematics development in eery years children (specifically aimed at 2-4 year olds). Earlier this year, Allie completed the course having also delivered seminars to our own setting and worked as a mentor to other settings. We are now classed as a ‘Communication Friendly Setting’ She is now part of an ongoing concept known as Communities of practice whereby a number of settings come together to continue to develop links, develop practice and maintain the momentum of the training undertaken.

Allie has recently completed Forest School Leader Level 3 training and is currently waiting the official outcome. She loves spending time outdoors – enjoys running (finally completed her ambition to take on the London Marathon late last year!), gardening and walking her dog….

When not at work, Allie likes running (and is hoping to complete the London Marathon this year) baking….anything and walking her dog who resembles Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy!!!

Fun fact…when growing up before deciding to be a teacher, Allie wanted to join the RAF to fly fighter jets!

Vikki first joined the team to do supply cover and quickly became a more permanent fixture. Juggling mum duties to two children, Vikki also has lots of experience working in and managing nursery settings. Vikki has worked hard to gain her degree in childcare and has recently been promoted to the position of Deputy Manager. She is also a Deputy Safeguarding Lead. Vikki is passionate about children’s development and progression and has a great sense of humour!

In her spare time (!) Vikki enjoys running and working out with a local PT.

Lisa is a Level 3 qualified practitioner, who joined the nursery in September 2025 specifically to help establish our brand new baby room. Since then, the Bumblebee Class has grown from strength to strength. Lisa has a wealth of experience working with babies in her previous setting and is extremely passionate about babies’ development and progression. She leads the room working alongside Rosie and is also a Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

Lisa already knew The Granary well, as her youngest son attended previously.

Amy joined the setting after her eldest daughter transitioned from us to school. Amy previously held roles as a Manager, Deputy Manager and SENCO and has brought these skills to The Granary. She has experience working with babies, toddlers and preschoolers and knowledge and understanding of Montessori practices. As mum to two girls, she also has lots of personal experience of raising a young family. Both Amy’s children have also attended The Granary!

Nicola has a level 3 NNEB qualification. She joined the Granary in January 2009 working in Class 2 part-time as well as nannying for a local family. Nicola has previously had experience working in a local day nursery but has mostly had nannying jobs since qualifying in 1998. Nicola is the room leader for the Butterfly class working with an experienced team to care for and teach our older children.

Nicola’s superpowers are her excellent memory and organisation skills – highly valued by the team!

Rebecca completed her Level 3 apprenticeship with Distinction whilst working at the nursery. As mum to four fantastic children, she has plenty of personal parenting experience to share with colleagues and support her own practice. A calm, positive presence in the classroom and supportive mentor to our apprentices.

Rebecca now heads up the toddler room (Caterpillar Class) supporting our 2-3 years in their next steps.

Pre children, Becky owned horses and used to ride competitively!

Emma joined the team earlier in 2026 with an impressive history of working with children – from babies to year 6 in primary school. Emma holds a highly regarded NNEB qualification. Since joining us, she has also undertaken current baby room training to be able to support the Bumblebee Class team, and has also completed comprehensive SENCO training. Emma also balances working in our Butterfly Class with duties as a mum to five children!

Emma’s claim to fame is that she once met Ashley Banjo (from incredible dance troupe Diversity) !!

Keira has come full circle – having attended the nursery as a child herself, she joined the team as an apprentice aged 16 years old following her studies at Thomas Mills High School. She completed her Level 2 with Distinction and is currently working towards her Level 3 qualification – due to complete later this year. Keira has embraced all aspects of the job and is a valued member of the team.

Not only is Keira a fantastic baker, she also has heaps of energy and in her spare time has completed a mud run!

Having moved to Framlingham partway through her apprenticeship, Kirsty is soon to complete her Level 3 training with us. Kirsty has quickly become a very competent member of the team demonstrating years of childcare experience gained from working in nurseries and schools with babies, toddlers and preschoolers. A great team player, smiley and positive, Kirsty is already proving to be an asset!

Claire joined the team as a Nursery Cook in January 2015. As a mother of two boys Claire is used to cooking for children! She has experience of working as a kitchen chef in a commercial setting having worked at The Butley Orford Oysterage for some time, and has a natural flair for cooking. Claire consistently produces high quality meals from our tiny kitchen on the premises. Her creativity doesn’t stop here as she is also a freelance florist.

Debbie completed her Post Grad teaching qualification alongside Allie at the University of East Anglia. Debbie taught in the primary sector before her children came along. Debbie’s own daughters attended the nursery and since they left Debbie joined us primarily in a supply capacity before taking a part time permanent position as a Nursery Practitioner.

Debbie also enjoys gardening and dog walking in her ‘spare ’time!

Rosie is mum to three wonderful children who all attended the Granary before going to school.

Roise is a qualified nursery practitioner who joined us as a permanent feature after a period of supply work.

Kitty is a new member of the team having recently joined as an apprentice on a Level 3 childcare course. Kitty is no stranger to the nursery, having attended herself as a child. Now mum to two boys and lots of nannying experience under her belt prior to parenthood, Kitty joins the team to develop her skill set under the guidance and support of experienced colleagues. Kitty has a great sense of humour and we look forward to seeing her thrive. Kitty will spend time across the age groups to develop her knowledge and understanding.

Pre children, Kitty played hockey as a goalkeeper for the England Under 21 team!
