Jo King or “Yoga Jo” as we all know her, has been teaching Yoga at the Granary Nursery School for the past many years. She is British Wheel of Yoga trained and specialises in teaching children.
Jo maintains that Yoga is great for our children – it helps nurture children’s body, mind and spirit.
Regular Yoga practice can improve:
- Physical strength, stamina and co-ordination
- Good posture and balance
It can also have the following benefits:
- Increase self esteem
- Help children to breathe well
- Enable children to discover stillness and an inner peace
The children in Butterfly Class at the Granary Nursery School enjoy a fortnightly yoga session. They respond really well to Jo’s Yoga techniques and thoroughly enjoy the sessions.
